I admit it, I am a sportsbook junkie. I spent years living in Las Vegas betting on sports at all the usual places. Vegas is a great town and an even greater town for sports bets! Wynn Las Vegas was always by far my favorite venue to laying down some bets. Followed by the Red Rock Resort off-strip out in Summerlin.
However after betting on sports in Vegas for years, along came the internet and finally allowed me to do what I love most, and that is to travel the world and make a very good living online doing it.
I learned along the way that if I had the right resources aside from a hefty bankroll I could live the life of my dreams. Luckily for me I found those resources online, and so can you!
Don’t get me wrong sportsbetting in Vegas is a blast. I spent many nights having a few drinks with Johnny Avello the oddsmaker over at The Wynn Las Vegas. However I much prefer traveling for a variety of reasons.

The first and only rule of sportsbetting or any sort of betting is your bankroll. I have never met a successful wagerer, and by successful I mean someone that on a continual basis makes more than 5% of their wagers over an extended period of time. In my case I have been more than that for at least 15 years. Never and I mean Never lay down a bet on anything, sports, cards, horses, craps or for that mater flipping a coin that uses more than 2% of your bankroll.
This is where most bettors lose their shirts. If you follow the 2% rule AND have the right resources you too can travel the world just as I am doing right now as I am writing this.
Betting on sports in Vegas is exciting and fun, but for me travelling the world is far more exhilarting and satisfying. Thanks to the internet it is now possible to do this.
Some people like craps which even in the best of circumstances, using a free odds bet, has at a 1% odds for the house built into it. Roulette? Forget about it, with the best bet offered being 5% in the houses favor its a suckers bet.
For me, sportsbetting has always offered far more value for my money. As there are far more variables that can be taken into account before laying down a bet. The sports has always been for me secondary.

Why betting on sports in Vegas is no longer for me
I would much rather travel around the world than to just stay in Las Vegas. Although I love Vegas and have many friends there, sitting as I am on the beach in Bali laying down bets, and more often than not winning is far more satisfying. When I first started to bet professionally on sports there was no internet, today that has all changed, and the world has become my oyster.
